The Slow School of Business Launch
|
The Slow School of Business launches in Melbourne!
I'm honoured to be one of the volunteer 'Slow School Council' members who are collaborating to bring a totally new and unique style of business learning to Australia.
Why ‘Slow’ you ask?
"Fast and slow do more than just describe a rate of change. They are shorthand for ways of being, or philosophies of life. Fast is busy, controlling, aggressive, hurried, analytical, stressed, superficial, impatient, active, quantity-over-quality. Slow is the opposite: calm, careful, receptive, still, intuitive, unhurried, patient, reflective, quality-over-quantity. It is about making real and meaningful connections – with people, culture, work, food, everything. The paradox is that slow does not mean slow. Performing a task in a slow manner often yields faster results. It is also possible to do things quickly while maintaining a slow frame of mind." In Praise of Slow – Carl Honoré
Check out more about Slow School here: http://carolyntate.co/slowschool
Designed to help freelancers, solo professionals, artists, creatives and corporate escapees to build a purpose-driven and prosperous business that makes a difference, Slow School offers you the unique opportunity to learn together (we are all teachers and all students), a safe and supportive environment for mindful decision-making, deep connections to others and opportunities for real collaboration.
Slow School is not a ‘set in stone’ business program, like most of the cookie-cutter business programs on the market. It’s a school that puts you at the heart of your learning and we adapt the curriculum according to student needs and input. We have the purpose (the why), we have the vision (the what)... all we need is YOU to help it unfold.
Attend any/all of the following;
-
How to collaborate effectively with other businesses (free trial lesson) – Night Class 6pm to 9pm Thursday 17 July Click here
-
How to establish healthy daily business habits (free trial lesson) – Night Class 6pm to 9pm Thursday 24 July Click here
-
How to build a purpose-driven business – Full day workshop 9am to 5pm Friday 1 August Click here
The Slow School Launch Party - a fun evening of deep connections and inspirational learning opportunities – 6pm to 9pm Thursday 7 August Click here

Giving Frank, Firm & Fair Feedback
Even the word 'feedback' can strike fear into the hearts of many people. Right away, 'feedback' is interpreted to mean something negative.
I believe it's much more helpful to think of feedback as, simply, information. Important information that will be helpful to the person receiving it.
I hope you can join me - and others like you who want to develop STRONGER SKILLS and more CONFIDENCE when delivering feedback of all kinds to others people.
I will share opportunities for you to continue working with me after this online session ... but I PROMISE - this is NOT A SALES-FEST!
I GUARANTEE you will leave the session with new information, greater motivation and ready-to-use tools that will help YOU deliver feedback more skillfully and with better results than ever before.
This 45 to 60 minute investment of your time (and no financial outlay) will bring you great returns in reducing your worry, anxiety and confusion in regard to this skill that is VITAL to all of us, irrespective of what our role at work might be.
Grab your lunch, pen & paper and allow me to provoke your thinking and share information that will help you BREAKTHROUGH and be MORE CONFIDENT & SKILLED in your daily life.

Do you have to deal with situations of confrontation, conflict and/or complaint?
If you answered YES! to even one of these questions - I've got an expert to help you!

You know of my passion & commitment to creating greater TRANSPARENCY & AUTHENTIC COMMUNICATION in our workplaces. To do this, we all need to develop skills in how to read, respond, & relate to emotionally charged, negative, or intimidating people - whilst staying calm, focused, & in control.
This online session will teach you how to:

Spotlight on Leaders!
How to Lead Better by Example
Do you need a fresh sense of who you are & clarity about your talents & gifts?
Are you wondering how to get more from your people without using a whip?
Have you felt frustrated by your team's inability to 'get it' when you speak with them?
If you answered YES! to even one of these questions - help is at hand!
It's Sandi Givens here, and those of you who know me are aware of my passion and commitment to creating greater TRANSPARENCY and AUTHENTIC COMMUNICATION into our workplaces.
Want to lift your profits?
Want to increase your productivity?
Want to work in a happier, more cooperative workplace?
Well, dare I say - it all starts with YOU.
Leadership has nothing whatsoever to do with your 'title' at work or where you sit on the organisation chart. Your leadership is about LIVING your ability to positively impact & influence people around you.
So if YOU ARE READY to fully STEP INTO YOUR LEADERSHIP, the road starts with understanding yourself - and consequently other people - better.
In this 45 minute webinar, my Guest Expert, Adam Taylor & I are going to give you some practical tools to assist you in your understanding of core Human Behaviour types.
Yes, we will both share opportunities with you to continue working with us after the webinar ... but I PROMISE - this is NOT A SALES-FEST!
I GUARANTEE you will leave the session with a heightened awareness, new information, greater motivation and ready-to-use tools that will help YOU get the most from yourself and the people around you.
Enjoy your lunch while we provoke your thinking, stimulate your ideas and share information that will help you BREAKTHROUGH to being able to BE the LEADER you truly want to be.
Bring something to write with and write on - and your curiosity about how you can tap into your Leadership Talents!
If you have any questions in the meantime, please email me on request@sandigivens.com.au
Adam & I are really looking forward to 'seeing' you soon!
Cheers! Sandi
